The seamless stub end (also known as a lap joint stub end), available in A304 and A316, is a fitting manufactured from seamless pipe used to create easily demountable flanged connections. It features a short piece of pipe with one flared or turned-over end (lap joint collar) and the other end bevelled for welding according to standard regulations.
