Spherical irrigation couplings are metallic components b. They allow a certain angle between the pipes, making them usable even on uneven terrains and surfaces.
They find their maximum application in agricultural irrigation, animal husbandry, and slurry tankers for manure spreading, as well as in pumping clean and wastewater, connecting vacuum truck hoses, and rapid drainage for construction and industrial use in general.
They are made of hot-dip or cold-galvanized steel to resist corrosion, but they are also available in AISI 304 stainless steel for specific uses.
A spherical irrigation coupling consists of four fundamental elements that ensure its sealing and flexibility:
– Ball (or Male spherical part)
– Socket (or Female spherical part)
– Locking ring (or Lever closure ring)
– Sealing gasket
The joining of pipes using spherical couplings can be integrated with other fittings that allow for plugging, finishing with hose tails, or combining the pipeline in more complex ways.
