Stainless Steel Seamless Fittings B16.9

Seamless fittings include components suitable for joining pipes, creating branches, or changing direction in hydraulic and industrial systems, while maintaining structural integrity and perfect system tightness. They are particularly suitable for applications that must withstand high pressures and significant mechanical or chemical stress.

The standards are established by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and are primarily defined in the ASME B16.9 for butt-weld fittings and ASME B16.11 for forged socket-weld or threaded fittings.

These fittings are distinguished by their production, which does not start from pipes made from bent and welded sheet metal; instead, they are machined from a single piece of metal (solid billet), which is heated, pierced and drawn. This process ensures more strength, material continuity and reliability for both leak-tightness and long-term durability.
